Shipping Policy
All orders will be dispatched within 2-3 days of placing the order. We send them via standard courier partners and share a tracking link. Most deliveries happen within 6-10 working days. During Sale days, this might get delayed further. As all our products are handmade & sometimes the dispatch may be delayed due to artisan’s non availability.
Where all do we deliver
We deliver to all and any postal address around the world. However, Courier companies do not deliver to P. O. Box address, so we request you to provide full street address with pin code / zip code.
Further deliveries are generally made during normal working hours of courier companies and these vary from country to country.
Please note that there are no shipments made from the store on Sundays and public holidays as our logistics partners, do not make any pick-ups on those days.
Domestic Shipping in India
- We take great pride in being able to offer FREE SHIPPING to any address in India to our customers. To ensure the quickest confirmed delivery on all orders to India, please be sure to include the COMPLETE postal address with the correct PIN CODE. We are not responsible for postal delays resulting from incomplete address listings.
- Also be aware that all shipments to any Colleges/Schools/Hostels are placed at the customer’s risk. If the school’s warden does not accept your package or it is refused for any reason, Kalapuri will under no circumstances issue a refund or credit to the customer’s account, nor shall Kalapuri attempt re-shipment of the same order.
- For a special or preferred delivery date, the sender must mention the delivery date in the gift message box when placing their order. If the order does not contain any delivery date, then it will be delivered at the first opportunity, as soon as possible.
For both Domestic & International Shipment
- Calculating Shipping Cost
- For Domestic Orders in India; Shipping cost is included in product price.
- For International order, shipping cost is not included in the product price. It is charged separately. Shipping cost is calculated separately and depends on the weight of the product, package size, location of the customer, type of service (express or ordinary), shipping agency delivering the shipment, correctness of the address provided by the customer, gift packing ordered by the customer etc.
- Please also note that the shipping rates are weight based. The weight of any product can be found on its detail page. To match the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next 500 grams. For products which are light in weight but large in volume, shipping rates will depend on the volume of the product package.
- For International shipment, the Shipping cost will vary from country to country and the mode of transit. Customers are requested to confirm the details of the Shipping cost before finalizing the order.
- In some countries, there may be a ban on shipping of certain products. Customers should verify such rules and regulations before placing the final order. In such a case, if the delivery is refused in a particular country on the basis of the specific rules and regulations of that Country, Kalapuri will not be responsible for any loss incurred by the customer.
- Transit Times
All products of Kalapuri are handmade with love by the rural artisans and take some time for delivery.
- We ship all orders through fastest possible reliable courier services. The transit time may vary from 8 to 15 days for domestic customers depending on the geographic location of the customer in India.
- For deliveries out of India, the transit time depends on the air shipment delay, delay due to local situation in that country, delay due to custom clearance etc. (Like war, natural calamity, epidemic etc.)
- If you ordered two or more items, you may receive them in multiple boxes on different days, because of varying item availability and shipping locations. Often, products will be shipped separately from one another for added safety in transit, so you may receive more than one delivery to your address.
- Please note that all the products will be shipped from India.
-If Courier Company fails to deliver, you do not suffer any loss. In-transit risk is all ours. But Kalapuri will not responsible for lost and stolen packages or any full or partial damages to the package after being left at customer’s address by postal / courier agency.
- Shipment and Tracking Details
- We will send you an email or communicate with you telephonically regarding the shipment of your order, as soon as the items are handed over to the Courier. These alert emails will contain the tracking number and courier company’s website details along with expected date of delivery. You may also check the same on Kalapuri at the right hand side corner “Track” Button.
- Tracking numbers for orders shipped might take maximum 36 business hours to become active on the courier websites.
- Please note that residential shipments to USA & some other countries will be left at door if someone is not there to receive the package or no one answers the doorbell. Our courier agents will not be able to provide sign confirmation of delivery made in such cases. To ensure that no disputes arise due to this, kindly make sure that someone is there to receive the package when courier delivery is attempted.
- Address Change Requests
- Address change request is entertained only for domestic orders. Once the product ordered is dispatched, you cannot make any alterations in the delivery address. However, address alteration requests may be accommodated within 24 hours of placing the order. You may send your alteration request to sales@kalapuri.com and the needful will be done.
- Address change request for International orders are not entertained at any stage.
- Multiple Address Order
- Currently this option is not available. However, if you want to send the product to different addresses, you can place separate Orders.
- Incorrect or Incomplete Address
- Please note: some courier companies charge a penalty for incorrect shipping addresses, wherein the address and PIN / zip code does not match. The customer will, without exception, bear the cost of any such penalties and/or fees & not Kalapuri. Please make sure your shipping address is correct.
- In the event of a reshipment of the same order, customers will be responsible to pay re-shipping charges for the reshipment.
- Packing Method
- All products are packed in a bag before packing them in a corrugated box. All orders are shipped by a reliable courier services and home delivered within approximately 8-15 working days after dispatch of the shipment in India. The packaging material may change depending on the availability of the bags. For bulk orders different packaging materials and process is used.
- We take special care to pack fragile products like terracotta home décor items, wall mounting frames etc. Customer has to pay extra charges for such special packing.
-For International customers, products and are packed in special packaging material to avoid any damage to them. However, sometimes, the custom department of the concerned country opens the packing to check the product. In some cases the ordered product gets damaged at the custom’s house. Kalapuri is not responsible for such unforeseen damages and the loss incurred by the customer because of the same.
- Time To Ship
- If you placed a COD (Cash On Delivery) order, there will be a verification call which is mandatory to complete, to process the order. This causes a 1-2 day delay in dispatch. If the customer does not respond to the verification call, an email will be sent to the customer with the email address provided by him / her in the order form. No COD order will be shipped domestically unless customer verification is confirmed at our end.
- COD (Cash On Delivery) is not accepted for International order.
- For each item we have mentioned time to ship along with the item image. These are indicative & approx time durations only and items can be shipped earlier or later also on case to case basis depending on availability of item and other factors. Normally all orders (except COD orders) are shipped within 3-4 working days.
- All products of Kalapuri are specially hand crafted products by rural master artisan and do take some time to make. Most of the products are custom made and need certain clarification from the customer. In most cases, your order will be processed within 24-36 hours of your placing it. You can expect to receive your order, on average, within 8-15 business days of placing the order in India.
- International orders will be shipped within 4-6 working days since they need some document clearances, certain procedures to follow, Custom formalities etc. which are country or region specific etc.
- What If Any Delays
- Time to Dispatch mentioned on our website against each items are indicative and approximate values only and sometimes due to situations beyond our control like flood, natural calamity, epidemic, war, riots etc. delays may occur. No refund, returns, replacement & exchange will be entertained for such reasons.
- However benefits such as some store credit to be used for future orders, free gift etc can be allowed on case to case basis. Decision about such benefits is at the sole discretion of Kalapuri management.
- If, for any reason, there is going to be a delay in shipping because an item is out of stock we will notify you by e-mail.
- However any dates for delivery are approximate only and we are not liable for any delay in delivering your order or any part of it. We may choose to deliver your order in separate parts. In some cases we may offer to refund you for unfulfilled part of the order.
- GST, VAT & Custom Duties and Other Levies
- GST, VAT / Custom Taxes and Import Duties are not in our control. They vary according to the rules of different countries and must be paid directly by the buyer. VAT / Custom Taxes and Import Duties are not included in our ordering process, but may be charged to you by your government.
- International customers are responsible for any customs or duty fees levied by their country. We do not accept the responsibility of custom clearance of the products send by us for the reason the custom rules and regulations differ from Country to Country. We have no control over these charges in the duties levied by a Country on the imported products and cannot predict them, as policies vary greatly from nation to nation. Payment of such charges is entirely responsibility of the International buyer. The courier company may also charge some additional service charges over and above custom duty on case to case basis.
- Products dispatched by are not insured. However, if a customer wants his delivery of product to be insured, customer has to pay extra (Approximately Rs. 1,500/-) towards insurance charges.
- Billing Address And Shipping Address
- Billing Address is the address where a customer gets his bills from the credit card company. Shipping address is the address where the customer wants to receive their shipment. By default we treat the billing and shipping address as the same address unless specifically mentioned by the customer.
- Cancellation Policy
When you order a product on Kalapuri, your product is handcrafted by rural artisans with love. Cancelling a order once confirmed may affect the earning and moral of these artisans. Our esteemed customers are requested not to cancel the order once confirmed on our website. As a general policy, we do not accept cancellation of any prepaid order once it is dispatched. However in case of unavoidable cancellation of order, in order to safeguard the interest of the artisans associated with Kalapuri, we follow the following guidelines:
- For prepaid orders, since they are custom-made, cancellation is not possible once the order is dispatched.
- Cancellation of order for all custom-made orders it is not possible because these custom-made items remain unsold which amounts to a great loss to our artisans who craft these items for you only.
- Cancellation of International orders is not accepted.
- For COD orders, the order will not be dispatched before taking a confirmation from the customer telephonically or through email. Once confirmed, cancellation is not allowed in any case.
- In case if the customer wants to cancel the order for reasons beyond his control, decision for such cancellation requests will be taken by Kalapuri administrator on case to case basis.
- Cancellation is not acceptable for bulk orders.
- For any dispute about cancellation of any order Jurisdiction and matters of arbitration in Kolhapur (Maharashtra – India) Jurisdiction only.
- Order is Lost in Transit?
- If a shipment is lost in transit, we wait for 15 days and then reprocess/reship the order
-Shipping policy for Replacement of a product.
The shipment charges for returning the product will be borne by the customer. If replacement of the product is approved, the replacement product will be shipped to the customers free of charge.
